Our Environment

At Tír na nÓg we provide care and education for Early Years and School Age Children, in a safe, loving, happy and stimulating environment. For more than 25 years we have been providing the highest standard of care in our education driven, child lead, programmes. Our mission is not simply to maintain, but rather to continue to improve our services.

Our company is made up of two creches, one located in Huntstown, Dublin 15 and the other located in Hartstown, Dublin 15. Each creche provides full and part-time care for early years children aged from 2 years, and before and afterschool care for school aged children.

Tír na nÓg Ethos

At Tír na nÓg children are treated equally and as individuals. Our team are diverse, inclusive and positive role models, who provide a fun learning experience to ensure each child has the opportunity to reach their true potential. Children thrive on praise and encouragement and our children are praised at every opportunity

We see immense benefits to stepping away from plastic, pretend resources and aim to use a rich array of recycled materials and natural resources. We are committed to promoting sustainability in our creches.

Our Services

Food & Nutrition

At Tír na nÓg we have introduced Healthy Ireland Smart Start. This is a pre-school health promotion programme led by the HSE, to ensure children in pre-school settings are supported to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviours in early childhood. This programme consists of six units including Health Promotion, Emotional Well-being, Physical Activity, Oral Health, Health & Safety and Nutrition.

Our objective is to support children’s development of lifelong healthy eating patterns, skills, behaviours and attitudes. We have developed and implemented a healthy eating policy, using the Food and Nutrition Guidelines for Pre-school Services, which will ensure the integration of healthy foods and drinks into meals, snacks, curriculum, celebrations and play.

ECCE Montessori -The Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme

The Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE) is a universal childcare programme with the stated objective of providing children with their first formal experience of early learning. The ECCE programme is provided for 3 hours per day, 5 days per week over 38 weeks per year. At Tír na nÓg Childcare and Montessori we run our Montessori ECCE classes for 4 ½ hours per day, 5 days per week for 43 weeks per year, from September to June. Therefore, the ECCE payment we receive for your child is a supplement of the full fee we charge.

A Word

From Vera & Niamh

” As creche owners we fundamentally believe we are only ever as good as our team and at Tír an nÓg we have wonderful teams. We have a remarkably low staff turnover and when we are recruiting, we carefully select employees for their warm interaction and natural manner with children. Respect for the child is at the very core of our philosophy, and in turn this teaches children to respect each other and to respect the teaching staff. We lead by example and have the highest regard for our team. Our work environment is relaxed, friendly and happy, while always maintaining a professional air. Staff know that they have our support and parents know that our door is always open to listen to their concerns or suggestions. As a partnership we are friends first, our individual skills compliment each other and throughout the years that we have worked together we have never lost sight of our original goal, to provide quality childcare in a loving, happy, stimulating  and safe environment. “

What Our Families are Saying

“After a bad experience with another playschool I found Tír na nÓg and Emer. From day one she has been professional, caring, honest and kind. My son skips into see her every morning and I have great peace of mind knowing that he is being well looked after. He has come on leaps and bounds and is ready to start Big School in September. We will miss Emer and all the staff in Tír na nÓg. I can’t recommend them highly enough.” Donna

“Elaine’s experience and no-nonsense approach meant I was secure leaving my very precious child in her care. Before leaving him in Tír na nÓg on my return to work I hadn’t spent much time away from him at all. Elaine is a fantastic source of advice for any childcare topic you could mention” Elizabeth

“My son Cal has been attending Tír na nÓg for nearly two years now and from the moment he stepped in the doors I knew I made the right choice. Aisling has been Cal’s AIM support key worker for almost a year now as Cal has a diagnosis of Autism. I am very confident in saying Aisling has made a huge impact on Cal’s development over this time. It is very clear to me to see the passion she has working with children. Aisling has also linked in with Cal’s early intervention team implementing their strategy’s in the school setting which has been amazing. No words could be enough for what she has done for my son over the past year and I’m excited to see what unfolds over the next year.” Aoife and Cal

“I am very happy with choosing Tír na nÓg for my daughter. All the staff is nice and always with a big smile on their faces. Aisling is being so nice, so patient and supportive with Ema’s potty training. Gave me ideas of how to encourage my daughter at home and we are on the right way. I hear Ema singing at home different songs and she already knows the Alphabet. And it is all Aislings ‘fault’! For peace of mind, as a parent, make the right choice for your child!” Ani

“My daughter Ilinca attends the second year of creche. She loves her teachers and colleagues, and for me if she likes them and feels good, I am happy too. She learns new things every day, she is enthusiastic about activities. For this reason, I’m opting for afterschool next year. Thank you for your care and involvement in training our children as personalities in the future.”

“I cannot rate Tir na nÓg highly enough. My daughter loves it here. The staff are so kind, caring and understanding. Tír na nÓg is like a home from home for the children. The creche is a lovely size which adds to the home from home feeling.” Aisling Stapleton

“The staff and management are excellent and really care about the children. This is an excellent pre-school.” Karen Cleary

“I highly recommend Tir na nÓg, my daughter attended this creche years ago and she is still talking about it. My son is attending the setting at the moment and he is always happy there. As a parent I feel that it is very important to choose a setting where our children feel valued, cared and loved and I know that in Tir na nÓg the staff is absolutely brilliant.” Debora Mocco

“The joy and excitement of learning that Linda brings to the classroom is evident to us when our daughter returns home each day. Our daughter loves to tell us about all the new things she has learned or when Linda has complimented her on helping out in the classroom or doing a task well. What Linda says to the children stays with them and it benefits them greatly, their confidence continually grows as does their interest in learning. A sign of a good teacher is that they can instil a love of learning into the children, Linda does this on a daily basis. She is a great addition to the team at Tír na nÓg. Emma

My two boys attend Tirnan og and they absolutely love it! Shauna is so lovely and friendly, to be fair all the teachers are . My kids love going to school . It takes the mammy guilt away knowing they are being so well looked after.
Thanks so much for all that you do! Amy

Shauna is extremely caring, not a day goes by without Chloe telling me something from her day that describes her kindness and dedication. She’s not only fun to be around, but also firm and wise. She would always explain to Chloe what she did wrong and encourage her to do better next time. Couldn’t ask for better girl!
Even though she’s not actively looking after Cillian, my son, she always engage with him at drop offs. Chloe can’t leave without giving Shauna a hug! I thinks it says it all! Anna

“What can I say since day one I have felt so welcome. My daughter loves the staff like her auntie’s. My daughter has learned so much from yous from potty training etc. Very understanding staff and owners. Very happy mummy” Lisette

“The team at Tir na nOg are invaluable. Eabha started when she was 2 and has learned so much from her time so far. The girls work so hard with all of the kids and their kindness and experience shines through the children. I’d recommend Tir Na nOg to anybody”

“Tir na nOg is a great preschool, my daughter was shy and not used to socialising due to Covid lockdowns. Over the year she has excelled in most of her milestones and loves integrating with other children: Every morning she wakes up excited going in to see all the teachers and children, as parent all you want is for your child to be happy. My daughter gets all the care and attention she needs from Tir na nOg. I’m very grateful for all they do for her”

Tir na Og Hartstown  is amazing place ! My daughter started her journey when she was 6 months old and now she is in junior infants afterschool care and we have great experience. The staff is lovely , carying and friendly , doing absolutly great job and I can’t say enough about them. The management  is committed to providing a safe , fun and loving environment.
