Our Environment
At Tír na nÓg we provide care and education for Early Years and School Age Children, in a safe, loving, happy and stimulating environment. For more than 25 years we have been providing the highest standard of care in our education driven, child lead, programmes. Our mission is not simply to maintain, but rather to continue to improve our services.
Our company is made up of two creches, one located in Huntstown, Dublin 15 and the other located in Hartstown, Dublin 15. Each creche provides full and part-time care for early years children aged from 2 years, and before and afterschool care for school aged children.
Tír na nÓg Ethos
At Tír na nÓg children are treated equally and as individuals. Our team are diverse, inclusive and positive role models, who provide a fun learning experience to ensure each child has the opportunity to reach their true potential. Children thrive on praise and encouragement and our children are praised at every opportunity
We see immense benefits to stepping away from plastic, pretend resources and aim to use a rich array of recycled materials and natural resources. We are committed to promoting sustainability in our creches.
Food & Nutrition
At Tír na nÓg we have introduced Healthy Ireland Smart Start. This is a pre-school health promotion programme led by the HSE, to ensure children in pre-school settings are supported to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviours in early childhood. This programme consists of six units including Health Promotion, Emotional Well-being, Physical Activity, Oral Health, Health & Safety and Nutrition.
Our objective is to support children’s development of lifelong healthy eating patterns, skills, behaviours and attitudes. We have developed and implemented a healthy eating policy, using the Food and Nutrition Guidelines for Pre-school Services, which will ensure the integration of healthy foods and drinks into meals, snacks, curriculum, celebrations and play.

ECCE Montessori -The Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme
The Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE) is a universal childcare programme with the stated objective of providing children with their first formal experience of early learning. The ECCE programme is provided for 3 hours per day, 5 days per week over 38 weeks per year. At Tír na nÓg Childcare and Montessori we run our Montessori ECCE classes for 4 ½ hours per day, 5 days per week for 43 weeks per year, from September to June. Therefore, the ECCE payment we receive for your child is a supplement of the full fee we charge.
A Word
From Vera & Niamh
” As creche owners we fundamentally believe we are only ever as good as our team and at Tír an nÓg we have wonderful teams. We have a remarkably low staff turnover and when we are recruiting, we carefully select employees for their warm interaction and natural manner with children. Respect for the child is at the very core of our philosophy, and in turn this teaches children to respect each other and to respect the teaching staff. We lead by example and have the highest regard for our team. Our work environment is relaxed, friendly and happy, while always maintaining a professional air. Staff know that they have our support and parents know that our door is always open to listen to their concerns or suggestions. As a partnership we are friends first, our individual skills compliment each other and throughout the years that we have worked together we have never lost sight of our original goal, to provide quality childcare in a loving, happy, stimulating and safe environment. “
